I only stayed 1 night, so don't feel able to give more than 3 *. The staff were pleasant, my room was clean and had all I needed and the breakfast was good. Situated on a quiet street, but close to pubs/other eating venues so I had a good night's sleep. If you have an interest in all things Henry VIII, you'd probably find this hotel quaint.

Me and my partner stayed at the boleyn hotel and thought the location was lovely quite and a good walking distance to the nearest town and the main reason, Thorpe Park. The room we had was a nice size en suite and came with air conditioning and a kettle with tea and coffee. Everything was fine, untill later on in the evening when we had returned from a shockingly bad restaurant, We sat in their bar with my partner who asked to change the channel to something else as there was no other resident in the bar, and the bar staff were not around anyway as they kept going in the back, but was told only sport was allowed on the TV. I was highly unamused in the morning come down to see no sport channel playing. During the next day before going down to breakfast, we ran into one of the staff members and they asked if we would like anything changed in our room. We asked if we would be able to get a fresh tea and coffee supplies and were told that was ok but when we returned later in the evening they had not entered the room. My partner then went down to the reception to inform them that no-one had been in to which after he returned we got a knock at the door about 20 minutes later to the same receptionist with 2 handfuls consisting of all the tea and coffee bits with a couple split. The free breakfast with the room was appalling aswell. The eggs were still running clear on the top, the sausage (not sausages) was still pink on the inside and the bacon tasted like it had been done the night before. To the point, we didn't even take the free breakfast the second morning. Overall our experience there comes down to good rooms but the service has left a terrible taste in my mouth, no pun intended.
